When Is the Best Time To Visit Brunei?
The answer to the question of what is the best month to visit Brunei depends on what you are interested in doing during your stay. Here you can see an overview of each month and its typical weather conditions.
Climate of Brunei
Brunei lies in an eminently humid equatorial climate zone, and the weather is determined by cyclonic monsoon winds. It is hot all year round, with temperature values ranging from 25°C to 33°C. As a result of the monsoon circulation, the country has two longer rainy seasons, separated by two transitional periods where rainfall intensity is lower.
From December to January, when the northeast monsoon blows, rainfall increases. The same is true from May to October, when the southwest monsoon blows. Throughout these two periods, Brunei receives rains ranging from 2,500 mm on the coast to 4,000 mm in the mountainous areas. It is hot and very humid, with the average humidity staying at 97%.
The two transition periods are also rainy, but the precipitation is less intense. The country experiences thunderstorms throughout the year.
