Its nearest higher peak is Mount Sarbach, 2.0 km to the northwest, with Epaulette Mountain immediately to the southeast. Kaufmann Peaks is situated south of Saskatchewan Crossing, where the Icefields Parkway intersects with the David Thompson Highway. ()
