The flame-winged parakeet, also referred to as the brown-breasted parakeet, is a vibrant member of the Psittacidae family. These colorful birds are typically found in the forest edges and shrublands of Colombia, primarily on the eastern slopes of the Andes, at elevations between 1,700 and 3,400 meters above sea level. Regrettably, their natural habitat is under severe threat due to ongoing destruction, endangering these beautiful creatures.
