Sternberg Palace - a palace in Hradczany.
The palace was built in 1698–1708. His designer is unknown. Among the possible authors are mentioned, among others Domenico Martinelli, Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel and Krzysztof Dietzenhofer. Most likely, however, the designer was Giovanni Battista Alliprandi. Donato Giuseppe Frisononi made stucco decorations.
In 1816, Leopold Stenrberg sold the palace to the Association of Patriotic Friends of Art. An art gallery was placed in it. In 1871, the palace was bought by Heliodor F. Heidl, who in 1872 withdrew to the female association of St. Anna. After World War II, the building became the property of the National Gallery in Prague, which exposes the European art collection from antiquity to Baroque.
