Sokolnik / Sokolník

Sokolnik - a peak in the Giant Mountains in the western part of the Silesian ridge.
It is located in the northwestern part of the Silesian ridge between Szrenica in the west and the Łabski peak in the east. From the north, between Szrenica, Sokolnik and Łabski, the peak is indulgent, wet depressed - Szrenicki Kocioł. From the south, Labská Louka stretches - a wide flattening connecting the Silesian ridge with the Czech ridge, on which the sources of the Elbe are located.
The Polish-Czech border runs through the peak.
Built of Karkonosze Granite. At the top there is a rock debris, formed in a perglastic climate, in Pleistocene. On the western slope, above the Mokra Pass, there is a rock cottage cheese.
The peak is located in the Karkonosze National Park and the Czech Karkonosze National Park.
North of the summit runs the red marked tourist route of the Polish-Czech friendship leading from Szrenica to the east, the main ridge of the Giant Mountains to the Okraj Pass.
