Telč Chateau, Telč

Telč Castle is located in the town of Telč, in the Vnitřní Město district, on Zachariáš of Hradec Square, above the meander of the Telčský Brook between the Ulický and Štěpnický Pond. The castle is protected as a cultural monument and in 1995 the castle grounds were declared a national cultural monument. Since 1992, the castle and the historic centre of Telč have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is owned by the state and open to the public. Its current castellan is Bohumil Norek.
