The Jewish cemetery in Kovářov is located about 600 m north-northwest of the local church. It is situated in the woods behind Prostřední rybník, near the blind turn off the road No. 102 to Radvánov and Krásná hora nad Vltavou.
The Jewish cemetery with an area of 2090 m2 was founded in the first half of the 19th century. The oldest tombstones date from the same period. The last tombstone out of the hundred surviving ones dates back to 1940. The cemetery is not freely accessible.
The Jewish community of Kovářov ceased to exist according to the law of 1890. Until the occupation, the cemetery was first taken care of by the Jewish community in Klučenice and from 1923 by the Jewish community in Milevsko.
