Facts and practical information
Godula-a peak in the Ropica band in the Silesian-Moravian Beskids, in the Czech Republic.
Godula is the northernmost peak of the Silesian-Moravian Beskids. It is the northern end of the Ropica band, falling to the north with a steep threshold towards the Moravian-Silesian Foothills. From the west it is limited by the valley of the Ráztoka stream, and from the east - the Dolinka Potoka řeka.
The peak is built by powerful layers of greenish sandstones, the so -called Godulski, from central chalk. These sandstones were described for the first time and hence their name.
The peak is almost entirely forested. The stands are mainly built by beeches and spruces, the junipers are quite in large numbers.
