Facts and practical information
Højer Windmill is a Dutch windmill with a full-walled undermill and a gallery from which it is manually cranked. It was built in 1857 and is located in the middle of Højer town. The mill has 7 roofs and is 22 metres high. This makes it the tallest of its kind in Northern Europe. Emil Roll had Højer Mill built in 1857 and the mill was in operation as a grain mill until 1972. It was restored in 1976-77 and is now a Mill and Marsh Museum.
