The basilica of Notre-Dame-de-la-Fin-des-Terres is located in Soulac-sur-Mer, in the Gironde department and the archdiocese of Bordeaux. It owes its name to the proximity of the Pointe de Grave, which forms the northernmost part of the Médoc peninsula.
Classified as a historical monument on July 20, 1891, it was listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO as part of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela in France in 1998.
