The castle of Pontivy, called castle of Rohan, was built in the 15th and 16th centuries by the Rohan family.
The castle is the subject of a registration as a historical monument since October 26, 1925, while the facades, roofs, courtyards and ditches are classified since December 30, 1953. Property of Josselin de Rohan, he donated it for a symbolic euro to the city of Pontivy in October 2015.
