Église Saint-Fiacre
Facts and practical information
The church of Notre-Dame and Saint-Fiacre is a Catholic parish church located in Neuilly-sous-Clermont, in the department of Oise, in the Hauts-de-France region, in France. It is the successor to a chapel of the mid-twelfth century, whose facade has been preserved. The foundation of the parish dates back to the 13th century, and the Gothic choir-hall with three vessels of two bays was built at that time. Some of the windows have been provided with a radial filling. The nave was rebuilt after the Hundred Years' War and vaulted in the flamboyant style, which necessitated a subdivision between nave and aisle by means of three large arcades. The bell tower rises above the north-western bay of the choir-hall, and is notable for its elegant spire. The church was classified as a historical monument by order of August 28, 1933. Its history remains poorly known and it is not known that a priory-cure was attached to it until the French Revolution.
