Église Saint-Vincent de Ria, Ria-Sirach
Facts and practical information
The Saint-Vincent de Ria church is a church located in Ria-Sirach, in the French department of Pyrénées-Orientales and the region Occitanie.
Built in the 11th century in the Romanesque style, it was strongly modified in the 17th and 18th centuries. Its Romanesque bell tower and its pink marble portal are registered as historical monuments.
The church is dedicated to Saint Vincent, probably the local saint Vincent de Collioure, a martyr of the 4th century venerated in Roussillon and whose relics are in Collioure. However, the latter is often associated in the region with Saint Vincent de Saragosse, also a martyr of the 3rd and 4th centuries, and patron saint of winegrowers.
