The Devil's Tower is a vestige, in the upper town, of the fortified enclosure established in the first quarter of the 13th century, reinforced in the middle of the 14th century and rebuilt at the beginning of the 15th century; the tower was restored and heightened in 1906, as was the Nessel Tower.
