Château de Prény
Facts and practical information
The castle of Prény is an ancient fortress, located in the French commune of Prény, in the current department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, whose origin remains obscure. It was the last fortress of the dukes of Lorraine facing the bishops of Metz. It was located not far from the castle of Dieulouard, which belonged to the bishops of Verdun, and from the castle of Monsoon, which belonged to the counts and then dukes of Bar.
The castle has been classified as a historical monument since 1862, and the guardhouse was registered in 2001.
