Facts and practical information
Saint-Pierre Church is a Romanesque church located in Mornac-sur-Seudre, in the French department of Charente-Maritime and the diocese of La Rochelle and Saintes.
This building with its characteristic bell tower is part of an urban fabric inherited in large part from the Middle Ages. The square of the transept is occupied by a curious barlong dome, an extremely rare plan in Saintonge. Merovingian sarcophagi, unearthed during excavations in the vicinity of the church, are on display near the chevet and the north wall.
