Facts About Medine Grassland Frog
Ptychadena pumilio is a frog species classified within the Ptychadenidae family. These frogs inhabit various African countries, including Benin, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, and Sierra Leone. They may also be found in Burkina Faso, Chad, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania, Niger, Sudan, Togo, and Uganda.
These frogs occupy a diverse array of natural habitats. They flourish in subtropical and tropical moist lowland forests, as well as in both dry and moist savannas. They can also be found in wetlands, grasslands at varying elevations, along rivers and in marshes. Additionally, they adapt well to human-modified environments such as pasturelands, gardens, ponds, and along canals and ditches.
