Yucatecan Shovel-headed Treefrog

The Triprion petasatus, an intriguing frog species from the Hylidae family, can be found across several countries, including Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico. These adaptable frogs thrive in a variety of natural habitats. They can be spotted in subtropical or tropical dry forests, as well as in moist savannas. They are also well-suited to life in freshwater marshes, whether these wetlands are permanent or seasonal.

Interestingly, Triprion petasatus is also adept at surviving in areas altered by human activity. They can inhabit rural gardens and areas where forests have been severely degraded.
