Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication is a journalism and mass communication university located in Raipur, in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. Earlier known as Chandulal Chandrakar University of Journalism and Mass Communication is. The University established by Government of Chhattisgarh vide Act no 24 of 2004. Former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee inaugurated the University on April 16, 2005 at Raipur. Previously the university was named after the Late Kushabhau Thakre who was a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh activist. The University foundation day is now celebrated on 16 April every year. In 2020, the newly formed Government in Chhattisgarh decided to change its name to Chandulal Chandrakar Patrakarita Avam Jansanchar Vishwavidyalaya. ()
