Lorentz National Park, located in the Papua region of Indonesia, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest national park in Southeast Asia. This remote and pristine wilderness is home to an incredibly diverse range of ecosystems, from snow-capped mountains to tropical rainforests to mangroves and swamps. The park is also a haven for wildlife, with over 630 species of birds, 123 species of mammals, and many endemic species such as the tree kangaroo and the long-beaked echidna.
The park is named after the Dutch explorer Hendrikus Albertus Lorentz and covers an area of 2.35 million hectares, making it a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers.
