It is located within the borders of the town of Higashidōri, Aomori in northern Shimokita Peninsula, and is part of the Shimokita Hantō Quasi-National Park. The cape is on the border of Tsugaru Strait separating Honshu from Hokkaido, and the Pacific Ocean. ()
