When Is the Best Time To Visit Jordan?
The answer to the question of what is the best month to visit Jordan depends on what you are interested in doing during your stay. Here you can see an overview of each month and its typical weather conditions.
Tourist Season in Jordan
Due to the guarantee of reliable weather that encourages swimming and beachcombing, many tourists visit Jordan in summer (June-September). However, the very high temperatures prevailing then make sightseeing difficult, so it is worth choosing a different date, as the country can be visited all year round.
To avoid the heat and crowds of tourists, the optimal time to travel is autumn (October and November), when the temperature is most favorable, and spring (March-May), when the vegetation awakens to life, it is green and everything is in bloom.
On the other hand, in winter (December-February) it is cold and damp, there is frequent rainfall, not infrequently snow, and temperatures can drop to freezing, which can cause a bit of traffic difficulties. However, winter is a good time to relax at the Gulf of Aqaba (Aqaba), the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, the temperature then reaches about 18°C - 25°C.
When planning a trip, it is worth bearing in mind possible national and religious holidays, such as Ramadan (a moveable holiday), the Feast of the Presentation of Eid al-Fitr, Independence Day (May 25), King Hussein's Birthday (November 14), during which there may be difficulties in the form of temporarily closed offices, tourist centers, restaurants, stores.
