World Sacred Music Festival

The Fes World Festival of Sacred Music is a cherished annual event in Fes, Morocco, that has been captivating audiences since 1994. This week-long celebration brings together sacred music from various traditions, creating an enchanting atmosphere that resonates with attendees from around the globe.

Across the Atlantic, the World Festival of Sacred Music-Los Angeles takes place every three years, spreading its harmonious vibes throughout the city. Initiated by the Dalai Lama in 1999, this sixteen-day festival celebrates the rich tapestry of sacred music and movement traditions found within Los Angeles. Its mission is to foster community cooperation and understanding through the arts. As part of this festival, the Aratani World Series showcases world-class artists who blend music and dance in mesmerizing performances.

Inspired by the Fes Festival, the World Sacred Music Festival in Olympia, Washington, USA, began its journey in 2005. Organized by Interfaith Works, this festival highlights both regional and international artists representing diverse ethnicities and spiritual traditions. Initially a two-day event, it transitioned to a single-day celebration from 2006 to 2009. Since 2010, the festival has also been offering quarterly sacred music events to keep the spirit alive year-round.
