When Is the Best Time To Visit Philippines?
The answer to the question of what is the best month to visit the Philippines depends on what you are interested in doing during your stay. Here you can see an overview of each month and its typical weather conditions.
Climate of Philippines
The Philippines lies in the humid equatorial climate zone. The weather is characterized by high temperatures and humidity and is largely determined by cyclonic monsoon winds. The temperature is relatively constant, staying between 25°C and 28°C, but rises just before the onset of the monsoon season. In the higher parts of the mountains, the temperature is slightly lower, but does not drop below 15°C. The perceived warmth is compounded by high humidity, which is around 80%. The average annual rainfall oscillates between 2000 mm - 3500 mm.
In the Philippines we can distinguish between the rainy and dry seasons, which depend on the occurrence of monsoons and run differently on each island.
The rainy season lasts from June to October. Temperatures then reach 30°C, the air becomes more humid and rainfall increases in the form of violent downpours. Thunderstorms and typhoons are common.
The dry season lasts from December to April. It is divided into a cool season, covering December, January and February, where temperatures reach 25°C, and a hot season, beginning in March, when heat waves arrive.
