Church of the Transfiguration - a historic religious complex, a Roman Catholic Piarist conventual church and adjoining monastery, located in Kraków's Old Town at 2 Pijarska Street.

The Piarists came to Poland from Moravia in 1642, some of them receiving a foundation from the Cracow voivode Stanislaw Lubomirski. The late baroque church of the Transfiguration of Our Lord was designed by the famous architect Kacper Bazanka and built in the years 1718-1728, while the facade designed by Franciszek Placidi was created in the years 1759-1761. Built on a rectangular plan, it has one nave and - open towards it - side chapels. There are clear references to the Il Gesù type of church. The effect of integrating the nave with the presbytery was achieved by using a prominent cornice running around the church's axis.

The illusionist polychromy in the interior, referring to the Roman tradition of Andrea del Pozzo, is the work of two artists from Moravia - František Eckstein and Josef Piltz and, like the uniform furnishings of the interior, made under Eckstein's direction, were created in 1733. The work of Eckstein is also the illusionist main altar and the frescos on the vault of the nave. The frescos on the vault, depicting the apotheosis of the keys of St. Peter, were executed according to the principles of the "quadratura".

To the right of the altar is the heart of Father Stanislaw Konarski, and there is a bust of him in front of the church entrance.
