St. Francis Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lodz - the older of the two Chojeński cemeteries, established in the 1880s due to the liquidation of the previous necropolis at St. Adalbert Church. It is located between the current Komorniki, Kominowa, Chóralna and Rzgowska Streets.
The only entrance to the necropolis is the gate located at 156/158 Rzgowska Street.
In the necropolis there are many matzevot from the interwar period, some from the beginning of the 20th century and the cemetery chapel erected in 1928. The oldest preserved tombstones date back to 1897.
During the Nazi occupation of Lodz during World War II, from June 1, 1942 to January 19, 1945, it was one of two cemeteries where only Poles could be buried.
