The tenement house at 2 Mickiewicza Street in Mielec, Łojczykówka - the building is entered in the register of immovable monuments of the Podkarpackie province under the number A-986 of 10.10.1991. It was built in 1904. It was designed by architect Leyko for Jan Lojczyk. The building is L-shaped, its longer side adjoins Adam Mickiewicza Street, and its shorter side adjoins Tadeusz Kosciuszko Street. The two-storey tenement house is built of brick, plastered. It is covered with a double-pitched tin roof. Above the entrance door in the corner there is a balcony with a decorative metal balustrade. Above the balcony is a cupola supported by an octagonal tambour. The building has rich architectural elements. It is rusticated and has attic walls, framed windows. The building performed commercial functions, it also housed the magistrate and the police station, and during the German occupation, the Town Board. After World War II, it was the seat of the Presidium of the Town Council, the Women's League and other institutions. In the 1980s, the building, which was in danger of collapse, was bought from the Łojczek family by the Municipal Office and renovated. It was renovated again in 2011-2012, after which it was designated as the headquarters of the Municipal Public Library.
