Saint John the Baptist Church - a Roman Catholic parish church belonging to the Zelów deanery of the archdiocese of Łódź.
It is a Gothic temple, oriented, consisting of one nave with a narrower rectangular chancel. A vestry with a porch on the eastern side is added to the chancel on the north and the chapel on the east. The southern chapel, in the Renaissance style, is vaulted with an eight-sided cupola supported on sails, the northern chapel is covered with a ceiling. The roof of the temple is gabled, above the chapels there is a tent roof. The founders of the temple were property owners - the Buczkowski family, who are buried under the presbytery. The brick church was rebuilt many times - the nave was extended and in the seventeenth century the above mentioned late Renaissance square chapels were added: on the southern side - those of the Walewska family, and on the northern side - those of the Gomulinskis. The eastern wall is topped with a triangular gable with a little bell tower. In the axis of the façade there is a quadrilateral tower, which turns into an octagon in its upper part. The windows of the church are closed with semicircles. The date 1712 is inscribed on the frame of one of the windows in the presbytery.
The main altar was made in 1620 and contains paintings of the Madonna and Child, above - St. Anthony of Padua with Child, and in the finial a scene of the Baptism of Christ in the Jordan from the early 17th century. The side altars were made in the 18th century. They contain paintings of St. Andrew and St. Joseph with the Child Jesus from the seventeenth century. In the Gomulinski Chapel there is a painting dedicated to the Holy Trinity, and in the Walewska Chapel dedicated to St. Anna. In the latter there is a ceiling with polychrome referring to the content of eight invocations from the Litany of Loreto as if brought by angels. The pulpit was made in the early 18th century. On the walls of the temple there are several commemorative plaques from the 19th and 20th centuries. One of them is dedicated to Zdzislaw Walewski, who died in Warsaw on November 6, 1862 at the age of 24. Another is dedicated to Zygmunt Colonna Walewski and Anigeta Walewska, née Tarnowska. Another plaque is dedicated to Przemysław Colonna-Waleewski and Emilia, née Zagórowska. One of the plaques commemorates the great renovation of the church: "To the Lady of Jasna Góra in tribute for the 600th anniversary of 1382-1982; to her worshippers: John Paul II, the Polish pope elected on 16 X 1978, Cardinal Stefan Stefan Wyszyński, the Pope of Poland. October 16, 1978, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, Primate of Poland, a thorough renovation of this temple carried out through the efforts of parish priest Z. Wujak are dedicated by the faithful of the parish of Buczek A. 1978-1980 D". Another plaque is dedicated to Father Stefan Skowronski, parish priest in 1939-1941, who was arrested by the Nazi occupant in Buczek, as well as to other priests from this parish who died during World War II.
