Facts and practical information
The Zelów Museum - Center for Documentation of the History of the Bohemian Brethren - is located in the attic of the Evangelical-Reformed Church in Zelów, which has been specially renovated and adapted for museum purposes, as well as in its sacristy, which has been adapted for the needs of an archive, archival workshop, and library. The museum collects, preserves, stores and exhibits all traces of spiritual and material culture and collects documentation on the history of the Czech Brethren.
The present activities of the museum are mainly focused on the organization and consolidation of the factual basis, organization of periodical and permanent exhibitions, and publication of previous research on the topics of interest. Schoolchildren often participate in museum lessons, which are an opportunity to get acquainted with the ideals of the Czech and Polish Reformation.
The founding director of the Museum until 2010 was Rev. Miroslaw Jelinek. The curators are Dr. Jacek Kriegseisen and Dariusz Czwojdrak, MA.
