Rezerwat Wilcza Góra
Facts and practical information
Wilcza Góra Nature Reserve - an inanimate nature reserve of 1.6267 ha established in 1959 on Wilcza Góra in the Kaczawskie Foothills, with a basalt rock rose and unique vegetation. Other parts of the mountain are formed by vertically arranged or sloping pillars. In places the blow is irregular.
Apart from geological formations, the reserve is also a sanctuary of animated nature. In the crevices of weathering basalt grow groups of crevice ferns - these are: the common fern, and the rock, wall, and northern fern. There also grow the Common Lady's-foot trefoil, the Lady's-foot trefoil, the Tenderfoot, and the Robert's-foot trefoil. In the undergrowth, shrubby thickets such as hazel, blackthorn, elderberry, common reed, wild rose, gooseberry, Silesian blackberry, common barberry, Silesian willow, iva, and the rarer common cotoneaster have developed.
The reserve area is under active protection.
