Facts and practical information
Cisowa Nature Reserve - was established in 1983 within the Tri-City Landscape Park. It covers an area of 24.76 ha, mainly the valley of the Cisówka stream with adjacent slopes. The area of the reserve is managed by the Gdańsk Forestry Commission, and supervised by the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection. The reserve is located mainly in Gdynia, a small fragment is situated in Wejherowo municipality.
From a total number of 217 species of vascular plants occurring in the reserve, 3 are under partial protection: forest gall wasp, wolfsbane, and crowfoot. 12 plant species are on the list of vanishing and endangered vascular plants of Western Pomerania and Wielkopolska: brome-leaved helleborine, woodruff, common foxtail, forest fescue, valerian, manna, mountain fescue, forest cress, wolfsbane, common wood vetch, and bulbous vetch.
The natural relief of the terrain of the edge zone of the moraine upland of the Kashubian Lake District with plant complexes of fertile Pomeranian beech forest, ash-alder forest and spring vegetation is also protected.
Since 2007, the red-colored Wejherowski's Trail, which after changing its route is 56 km long, runs along the southern border of the reserve.
