Pomnik statku SS Poznań, Poznań
Facts and practical information
SS Poznań Monument - a monument in the form of an anchor with a chain on a low, octagonal concrete pedestal, located on the western shore of Lake Malta in Poznań.
The monument commemorates the ship SS "Poznań" which sailed under the national flag in 1926-1972 and was cut for scrap in Świnoujście in 1975. Until 2003 there was a metal plaque on the pedestal informing about the origin of the anchor, but it was probably stolen by scrap thieves.
The monument is neglected, rusted and partially covered with graffiti.
