Facts and practical information

Holy Spirit Church in Moryn is a Roman Catholic parish church in Moryn, Gryfino County, West Pomeranian Province. It belongs to the Cedynia deanery. It is located on Fryderyka Chopina Street.

It is a late Romanesque-Gothic building erected in the second half of the 13th century from granite blocks on a cruciform plan. The church has three naves, a pseudo-basilica, and a massive tower from the early fourteenth century, free-standing, with a passage. The tower is topped with a wooden Baroque cupola with a lantern from 1756. The tops of the temple have numerous pointed and semicircular lobes and rosettes with stepped jambs. The Romanesque altar dates back to the 12th century and is about 100 years older than the church; it was made of granite blocks. The Baroque pulpit was carved by the artist Hattenkerwell in 1711. An epitaph with a portrait of Schoneberk, the church's patron saint, was built into the church wall in 1750. In the interior you can see fragments of Gothic wall paintings from the 14th century.
