Night Safari

The Night Safari, Singapore, is a world-renowned open-air zoo that offers an unusual glimpse into the nocturnal animal kingdom. Established in 1994, this unique attraction is dedicated solely to the night-time environment, providing a rare opportunity to observe over 2,500 animals in their naturalistic nighttime habitats.

Spanning 35 hectares of lush forest, the Night Safari is divided into seven geographical zones, which visitors can explore either on foot via four walking trails or by a tram ride, each offering a different perspective on the secret lives of nocturnal creatures. The experience is designed to simulate a moonlit night to minimize disturbance to the animals' natural behaviors.

As the world's first nocturnal zoo, the Night Safari plays a crucial role in conservation, research, and breeding programs for threatened species. It is home to over 130 species, including the elusive Malayan tiger, the exotic Greater one-horned rhinoceros, and the mysterious clouded leopard.
