River Wonders, formerly known as River Safari, is an enchanting freshwater aquarium and zoo located in Singapore. This unique attraction is the first of its kind in Asia, focusing on riverine ecosystems and housing diverse aquatic and terrestrial animal species. Designed to replicate famous rivers of the world, River Wonders provides an immersive experience that educates and engages visitors with the wonders of river habitats.
Sprawling across 12 hectares, River Wonders is home to more than 6,000 animals, including 40 threatened species. It features themed exhibits that replicate the environments of iconic rivers such as the Mississippi, Congo, Nile, Ganges, Mekong, and Yangtze. One of the highlights is the Amazon Flooded Forest, which is the world's largest freshwater aquarium and provides an astonishing view of the water-dwelling giants of the Amazon.
Visitors can marvel at the majestic river dwellers such as the manatee, the giant river otter, and the Mekong giant catfish. The Giant Panda Forest exhibit is another crowd-pleaser, where one can observe the beloved giant pandas, Kai Kai and Jia Jia, along with the red panda and golden pheasant.
