National Gallery Singapore

The National Gallery Singapore stands as a beacon of culture and history, nestled in the heart of the city's Civic District. Housed in two national monuments – the former Supreme Court and City Hall – the museum is a treasure trove of Southeast Asian art, showcasing a collection that spans the 19th century to the present day.

Since its grand opening in 2015, the National Gallery Singapore has rapidly become one of the largest visual arts venues in the region, with a floor area of over 64,000 square meters dedicated to art exhibitions, research, and education. The gallery's mission is to provide a deeper understanding of the unique heritage and culture of Singapore and its neighboring countries through the language of art.

Visitors to the gallery can explore a vast array of works from both prominent and emerging artists, featuring more than 8,000 pieces that highlight the rich, diverse cultural tapestry of Southeast Asia. The museum is also home to two permanent galleries: the DBS Singapore Gallery and the UOB Southeast Asia Gallery, each offering a distinctive narrative of the region's artistic development.
