Castillo del Rey, San Vicente de la Barquera

The Castle of San Vicente, also known as Castillo del Rey, is located in the Puebla Vieja de San Vicente de la Barquera. It is an Asset of Cultural Interest of Cantabria, with category of Monument. An Agreement of 28 October 2002 made public the declaration of the Castle of San Vicente de la Barquera as an Asset of Cultural Interest by operation of the Law, with the category of Monument, by virtue of the Second Additional Provision of Law 16/1985, of 25 June, of the Spanish Historical Heritage, by which the assets referred to in the Decree of 22 April 1949 on the protection of Spanish castles are considered to be of Cultural Interest.
