Facts and practical information

The Ethnographic Museum of Cantabria is located in the town of Muriedas. It was inaugurated on October 12, 1966 and is located in the birthplace of the hero of the Spanish War of Independence, the artillery captain Pedro Velarde, so that, in addition to presenting objects of regional ethnology, has a monographic historical section dedicated to that character.

In 2016, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, small commemorative events were held.
