Castillo de Villarejo de Salvanés

The castle of Villarejo de Salvanés is located in the homonymous municipality, in the southeastern part of the Community of Madrid. It is part of the Historic-Artistic Site of this town, according to the declaration of 1974.

Although only the keep has been preserved, it is a unique architectural example in Spain, as it has the cubillos grouped together on the sides and not on the edges, as is usual in Spanish military architecture. Nowadays, it is restored and its interior can be visited.
