The White Altanka is the original altarpiece with a colonnade in the city of Poltava, first erected in 1909 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Poltava; one of the symbols of the city.
Located on the Sobornaya Maidan, it completes the Poltava plateau of Ivanovo Hill. From here you can see the vast view of the Vorskla river valley and part of the city: the Poltava Podil, the Vorskla Levada.
