Facts and practical information
The Widdersberg is a 2327 m above sea level peak in the Kalkkögeln in the Stubai Alps. The peak in the area of Axamer Lizum is north of the Malgrubenspitze and separated from it by the Widdersbergsattel.
The Widdersberg has two faces: while it descends to the north in steep rock steps made of dolomite rock, a gentle meadow slope descends to the southeast into the Lizumer Kar.
From the Widdersbergsattel, which can be reached from the Lizumer Kar, from the Hochtennboden or from the Lizumer Grube, the mountain can be climbed without difficulty in 15 minutes. Several climbing routes lead through the north face, such as the Huber Reinalter route, the Putana or the Westriss. In winter, the Widdersberg is a popular ski touring peak.
