Starkenburger Hütte

Starkenburger Hütte is a refuge of the Darmstadt-Starkenburg Section of the German Alpine Club in the Stubai Alps in Tyrol. It is located at an altitude of 2237 m above sea level and offers an impressive view of the opposite Serleskamm, as well as the entire Stubai main ridge.
The approach can be made from Fulpmes or Neustift in about 3½ hours; if you use the Kreuzjoch lift, the approach is shortened to 1½ hours. From the Starkenburger hut direct crossings to the Franz Senn hut and the Adolf Pichler hut are possible. The hut is located directly on the Central Alpine Trail as well as on the Stubai High Altitude Trail.
