Facts and practical information
The Palais Fugger-Taxis, also called Palais Taxis or Taxispalais, is a baroque town palace located at 45 Maria-Theresien-Strasse in Innsbruck. It was built from 1679 by Hans Otto Fugger von Kirchberg-Weißenhorn according to plans by Johann Martin Gumpp the Elder and came to the von Welsberg family through marriage in the early 18th century. Since 1905, the palace has been the property of the Province of Tyrol. Today it houses offices of the provincial administration and an art gallery. With the exception of their rooms, it is not possible to visit the interior of the palace, which has been a listed building since September 20, 2006.
