Südbahnhofmarkt, Linz
Facts and practical information
The Südbahnhofmarkt is the largest detail market of the Upper Austrian capital Linz and is located in the district of Lustenau.
It was created in 1949 on the station area of the former horse-drawn railroad Budweis-Linz-Gmunden, from which its name also originates. The old station building still stands today and houses, among other things, a branch office of the Economic Service of the City of Linz. 28 fixed market stalls offer their goods daily. On Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the regional offer is extended by a farmers' market with changing traders.
