The Jubiläumswarte is a lookout on the Gallitzinberg on the western outskirts of Vienna. It is located at Johann-Staud-Strasse 80 on the Vogeltennwiese in the 16th district of Ottakring, Vienna, at an altitude of 449 meters above sea level. The viewing platform of the Jubiläumswarte is freely accessible, but it is closed during ice or snow.
It can be reached by bus line 52B from the bus stops "Jubiläumswarte" or "Siedlung Kordon", on driving and hiking trails from Schottenhof and Heuberg; furthermore with lines 46A and 46B, bus stop "Feuerwache am Steinhof" or "Savoyenstraße" and about twenty minutes walk. By car you can reach the control room via Johann-Staud-Straße and Pelzer Rennweg.
On the observation terrace at a height of 31 meters above ground, one has a good panoramic view to the west over the adjacent Vienna Woods and to the east over the Vienna city area. The stairway to the observation terrace is 90 cm wide and has 183 steps. On clear days, the view extends over large parts of the Vienna Basin. On the horizon, the Hainburg Mountains and the Leithagebirge can be seen in the east, and the Kalkalpen with the Schneeberg in the south. On particularly clear days, the White Carpathians can also be seen in the northeast.
In the forest directly below the Jubiläumswarte is the Gaugefechtsstand Wien, a bunker from the Nazi era that is no longer accessible today because the entrances have been blown up or bricked up.
