The Panagyurishte Treasure, a remarkable artifact from the Thracian era, was discovered by sheer chance on December 8, 1949. Three brothers unearthed it while working near the town of Panagyurishte, Bulgaria. At the time, the discovery was acclaimed as one of the most significant in Europe since World War II.

In Bulgaria, the original treasure occupies a place of honor within the Thracian art collections at the Plovdiv Regional Historical Museum, the National Museum of History in Sofia, and the History Museum in Panagyurishte. To ensure the public can still admire this magnificent find even when it is on international exhibit, three replica sets are displayed in museums in Panagyurishte, Sofia, and Plovdiv.
