A new synagogue in Cieplice - a non -existent synagogue in Czech Cieplice, located between Chelčického and Hálkovou streets.
Her original design was made by architect Wilhelm Stiassny. In 1875 his plans were prepared for the implementation of architect Hermann Rudolph, came to Cieplice from Dresden to complete the construction of the theater.
The foundation stone was laid on March 11, 1880. In 1881, the construction was interrupted when the need to destroy four load -bearing poles, on which the dome structure was to be based. On the advice of the architect Josef Mocker, their foundations were deepened. The dedication took place on September 10, 1882. The style of the temple was a mixture of neo -Renaissance and Moorish. The walls of its facade are equipped with symmetrical high windows filled with neo -Renaissance elements. The building had a main dome similar to the synagogue in Florence. There were four smaller domes in the corners. The synagogue was 41 meters long, 25 meters wide and 42 meters high.
On the night of March 14/15, 1939, the temple was set on fire. Soon her ruins were demolished. Today in its place there is a park where a small monument was erected in 1955 commemorating the destroyed building.
