Pramenáč
Facts and practical information
With its height of 909.4 m above sea level, Pramenáč is the highest point of the Cínovecká hornatina, which is a district of the Loučenská hornatina, a subdivision of the Ore Mountains. It is located 2 km northeast of the village of Mikulov, but the cadastral part of the peak falls under the town of Košt'any. The spring is made of rhyolite ignimbrite, like the whole Cínovecká Highland. It is a flat top of a broad, asymmetrical, watershed ridge. In the upper part there are remnants of an aligned surface with peat bogs, in the steeper south-eastern slope there are numerous scattered debris and debris flows. The mountain is wooded with spruce and a small mixture of birch and pine.
