Facts and practical information

Svatošské skály is a National Natural Monument in the Karlovy Vary district, declared in 1933. The reason for the protection is the geomorphologically unique granite rock formations on the left bank of the Ohře River with fragments of relict pine trees and the occurrence of rare or endangered species of plants and animals. The area of the national natural monument is part of the Ohře Canyon European site of importance included in the Natura 2000 system. The management of the area is entrusted to the administration of the Slavkovský les Protected Landscape Area.
