The Zlatá Koruna Monastery is located about 8 km from Český Krumlov in the municipality of Zlatá Koruna. The buildings of the monastery are largely medieval, partly in Baroque style. In the historical part of the village, other Gothic buildings have been preserved, including the lay church of St. Margaret and the remains of fortifications. The monastery, administered by the National Heritage Institute, is open to the public. It is protected as a national cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
